With the rapid development of economy in our country, the new rising characteristics of the infrastructure development are to be with a large amount, high speed, and an extension from central cities to the surrounding areas. Also, the buildings in collapsible soil areas have emerged the following characteristics: the height of buildings is rising constantly; more and more first grade buildings are increasing; there is a building construction demand in the areas with high a collapsibility grade. The depth of removing base collapsibility, whether the composite ground method or combination disposal method is adopted, is required bigger and bigger. The lime-soil compaction pile method is a traditional way which can remove the base collapsibility and raise the bearing capacity effectively. However, there are still some shortcomings in using this method, such as raising the bearing capacity of the composite ground is limit, and the depth of disposal is not deep. In recent years, the new ground disposal method of big diameter lime-soil compaction pile has arisen, filling the lime treated soil into the impacting hole. This new pile is 4~5 times the pile diameter of that traditional one. And this method has been used to a certain degree in the construction practice.According to the measured data on the test inspection of big diameter lime-soil compaction pile for 3 collapsible loess grounds with similar geologic environment, this paper, integrated itself with the existing fruit of lime-soil compaction pile, has done a research analysis on bearing capacity characteristics for the big diameter lime-soil compaction pile. It research scope is distribution model of side pile resisting force, exertion characteristics of resisting force for side pile and end pile, increase range bearing capacity of inter-pile soil and deformation characteristics of the composite ground as well. On the basis of the above research, the design method and determination of parameter method on the big diameter lime-soil compaction pile are put forward. A point about determination of end pile resisting force due to the ratio of length-diameter is put forward firstly which accords with the bearing characteristic of the lime-soil pile.A research on the composite ground of the big diameter lime-soil compaction pile has also been done in this paper. The research analysis has been done for the size selection of loading plate for the bearing capacity load test adopted the way of pile-soil separate test.
