This paper is base on the research about riverbank revetment in nowadays cities, to finger out the elevation discrepancy problems when people design the riverbank revetment with highly hathpace or brae landform, also to discuss about the vertical height difference environmental design, bank protection of human impact design, and human needs in beachfront area. Regarding that, for future deep research about how to design riverbank revetment environmental, using the Riverbank revetment difference in elevation is often combine with height discrepancy problems as the breaking point, excavation and handle those factors are the main contents of this paper.Riverbank areas are always using as common space for general public in most of cities. Most of the cities designs are like to follow the waterfront then launch a series of landscape open space such as build up theme park with their special local theme or it also can be using as natural style of the hilly city recreational parkland, etc. In the design about riparian environment, changes in the height at different levels dealt with, which affect people in the recreational activities of the various forms, while people's behavior, visual, mental and have a greater influence. Have different requirements for high places, in the approach of considering the relationship between the project and the environment, people need to find the right fit for the spatial scale, the introduction of barrier-free design.This paper through the Landscape Design and theory of Garden design engineering to combine with practices about those knowledge, created a method that explore the way about how to use the original topography advantages to maximize the strength points for match people-centered design principles.For different high places, in the approach of considering the relationship between the project and the environment, suitable for people in need of the relationship between spatial scale and the introduction of barrier-free design. Various methods that using to dealing with height difference, combine with actual research, and fingered out mark time, the ramp, platform and integration of their respective advantages and disadvantages for a specific study.In this paper, Xi'an Chan River as an example, base on the study about Xi'an Chan River riparian characteristics, using numbers of waterfront space from domestic typical waterfront cities as the auxiliary information, selected the Chan River meters of cross-strait region as a Mijiaya Typical height difference of space research by the presence of the impact of its handling of the research and exploration through in the end that people need what kind of waterfront space - to match the general requires about flood control on the premise, to create a suitable for different groups of people, functions of the district, feeling rich visual space to meet the people's psychology, there terrain elevation difference in the fun places, get rid of blindly straight monotonous landscape of the drainage. Simultaneity, improve the waterfront space bank protection and the environmental quality of participation, and the establishment of urban space and adjacent the good ties to the urban public and maximize the return to the water close to water. To create a harmony with nature, dynamic and attractive cities in public places.
