Landscape planning and design for socialist new countryside is an important part of the urban and rural relations coordination, and the harmonious society building. There are many questions for us to think over and research in the early days of the construction of socialist new countryside, because the objective environment of countryside is much different from urban's. we couldn't construct a socialist new countryside with Chinese characteristics and fit to the actual conditions of Chinese rural areas, until have complete understandings about the local inhabitant's living habits, natural geographical environments, and local customs, and a comprehensive comprehensive analysis on ecology, environment, energy sources, literae humaniores and so on.Through theoretical summing up, analysis on specific instance and investigation, this paper have gave a systemic research for the landscape planning and design about living environment of new countryside, with the instance of socialist new countryside establishment of MuPing county ShanDong province and ShangWang vallage ChangAn county XiAn city. While it gave an exploration of Landscape planning and design for living environment of new countryside, mainly on the distribution pattern of building, the greening of living environment, the establishment and designing about public spaces, basic environmental facilities planning, and other facilities. Finally the study draw some useful conclusions, and the author hope that it will provide a reference for the landscape planning and design for socialist new countryside in the future.
