A Preliminary Study On Design Of Landform In The Landscape Environment Of Residential Arers

Residential areas as human habitational sites are organic system which deal with the contradictions between people and people, human beings and nature, and give support to the people's subsistence and development. So improving community environment, and building a residential community which has visual beauty and ecological effect that benefited for the health of body and mind. Landform is the supporter of this system, and has significance in the construction of urban residential areas. This paper is concerned with the study of how to shape and use landform in residential areas, and exploring some practicable techniques into the design of landform, then try to play the small role to make better urban residential areas. Most of design of landscape landform create more characteristic space to identification and more benefit and pleasant for leisure by means of changing vertical height of the ground surface to organize spatial form effectively. But the design of landform also should pay attention to interpersonal interaction and communal life for build urban residential areas fairly close to nature to satisfied people's longing for nature. From this perspective and basing on reviewing the historical origins of residential areas, the types of landform and its functions, this paper make further researches into the design of landform should be considered from three levels such as landscape image of urban residential areas, residential outdoor activity and ecological afforestation, then have achieved some new results initially.1. In comparison with flat landform, this paper give a positive answer on the landform with rising and falling play a lasting and beneficial role in residential areas. So drawing policy planners'attention to the design and use of landform during the construction of residential areas.2. Analysis of the use of landforms in chinese and western landscape, and reveals that mountain-and-water landforms exert influence on different degrees to the development of chinese and foreign habitats in cities and towns, especially with physical and cultural environments of chinese cities and towns the effects are more prominent. 3. Relating to categories of landform in residential areas,"water surface"is regarded as an inalienable part of landform which is a kind of special landform in this paper, and simply expatiating on some features of the arrangement of scenes with water. Besides, this paper pose two types landform such as hard landform and soft landform from the functional point of view and hope that will provide another kind of thought to further related research. But no matter what kind of landform, it all should considered from landscape image of urban residential areas, residential outdoor activity and ecological afforestation these three main respects, so will really improve the living environment and quality of life of urban residents.
