With the development of Chinese national economy, hydraulic power project as an important means to solve the problem of energy, environment and communication play an important role in accelerating the development of society. Slope engineering is an important branch in geotechnical engineering that aims to giving out safety evaluation based on stability analysis. Prestressing cable and frame beam has become a selection for strengthen rock slope, but it is worth researching in design method, construction technology and mechanism.Based on an engineering case, the method of using prestressing cable and frame beam to strengthen a jointed rock slope is studied in this paper. The main problems are analyzed as follows:1. Analysis method of the stability of jointed rock slope: The jointed material model is used to simulate the rock that contains joints, cracks and faults.2. The technical research of prestressing cable and frame beam used for jointed rock slope: According to the characteristics of anchor and frame beam, the reinforcing mechanism of the support is discussed.Through analysis of the load system on frame beams,the calculation method of internal force and main design parameters are introduced.3. The stability calculated method for the jointed rock slope: The cable is simulated by using truss element; the beam element is used for the simulation of frame. The interactive of rock and structure is simulated by interface element. According as stength reduction theory a new stability analysis method for jointed rock slope is presented in this paper. The safety factor of rock slope after being strengthened is obtainedThe results of theoretical analyses and field test show that prestressing cable and frame beam to improve jointed rock slope can satisfy the requirements of deformation, can be used in special construction environment and provide new feasible methods to improve the stability of rock slope under special condition.
