The detection system plays an important role in military and civil areas, with the functions of monitoring,searching,acquiring and tracking. From the point of view of work manner, the detection system can be classified two kinds: the active and the passive system. Passive detection system has long ranging, high concealing and survival ability. Due to not emitting wave, passive detection system can not recognize the target in underwater or lightless channel. Because the active detection system can get more available information than the passive one, the active detection system is high in speed and precision, which often makes it easy to fulfill the practical requirements for recognition.In recent years, many new sonar detection techniques have been developed. A lot of fundamental researches and experiments still need to be done on sonar. The application of sonar detection technique is very popular. With the development of scientific technology, there are more and more weapons with sonar. The application of sonar detection technique in mine is seldom, and the anti-submarine mine with sonar is a newer field. The method mixes passive sonar's wide detection range, active sonar's high location precision, and mine's good concealing property.The active laser detection system can eliminate the negative effects, which are brought by the particularity and complexity of underwater environment. In the paper, sea water characteristic of absorption and scattering, intrinsic and extrinsic optical character of sea water are summed up. In order to recognize the long range objects, the laser output power should be increased, which lead to enhance optical backscattering energy. The active laser imaging system can detect and recognize the submerged objects, based on range gated and synchronism control technology.Laser underwater target detection technology is a new kind of advanced detection technology. It depends on many technologies including laser technology, signal process and recognition, and electronic technology. Now the active laser detection technique is widely applied in many fields such as submarine, autonomous underwater vehicles, remote operated vehicles etc. The active laser detection system on anti-submarine mine is one of the current hot research fields.In this paper, the theories of passive and active sonar detection technique were introduced. Based on analysis of laser imagery technology, the detection system on anti-submarine mine was designed. By both experimental model and simulation programs, the detection distance and uprightness beating precision were calculated in certain condition, while the tracks and contour matching simulation results were discussed. It indicates that the detection system on anti-submarine mine, presented in the paper, has advantages in speed contour process, large detection range, and high hitting precision. In the paper, basic calculated and research on detection range and the accuracy of hitting were presented, which lays theoretical and simulation foundation for research of the mine in anti-submarine warfare. The results of analysis, may have important theoretical research meaning, and provide reference of application.
