Electrified railway has played an important role in modern transportations and social development in China because of its huge capacity,high efficiency,high speed and low pollution. The equipments of the traction power supply, as the core of electrified railway,are required highly reliable,highly available and lowly dissipative in maintenance.Thus,studies on reliability evaluations and optimum maintenance scheduling of them not only have a great significance of the safty and reliability of the traction power supply system,but also are a desiderate issue on reform of maintenance and management system in our country.By analyzing current maintenance mode for the equipments of the traction power supply in China and comparing with their development at home and abroad ,the thesis adopts RCM to analyze the equipments' fault mode. Fault Mode Analysis(FMEA) method is introduced and improved to meet the needs of fault diagnosis. The mode of system definition from two aspects(structure and function),and the items, such as 'fault symptom' and 'fault cause' enhance the assistance for fault diagnosis.Fault tree is applied to describe the causal relation of substation equipment faults.During the establishment of fault tree,a method based on FMEA is presented to strengthen the objectivity of tree.A new maintenance mode for the equipments of the traction power supply based on RCM is presented in this thesis, optimum maintenance mode must be adopted under fault mode analysis. Besides the theoretical study, this thesis optimizes TBM and CMB which are adopted in the new maintenance mode, it also educes a conclusion by example analysis.Finally, based on RCM, the thesis provides the tentative programmes on Computerized Maintenance Management System for the traction power supply equipments.
