On The Application Of Chinese Painting And Calligraphy Art To The Teaching Of The Basic Course Of Industrial Design

China of today receives more and more attention in the world, people all focused the vision to China. So, how to let the world understand China well, how to let local culture in China head for world, how to make China's design work worldwide, how to show the elegant appearance of 5,000 years of ancient civilization of our country, deserve us to consider, study and practice in earnest.In such a climate, the modern art design education, should realize promptly that the traditional culture has great importance on art design, begins research on the national tradition culture, transforms the traditional culture which is on behalf of the Chinese nation spirit into the modern form of language, and then brings this language into the contents of teaching, strengthens the student's study to the Chinese traditional culture, promotes the formation of Chinese design style. The curriculum is the core and the effective measure when developing teaching, the teaching of professional foundation course is the foundation link of the education of art design, so, integrating China traditional culture in this the foundation link , will lay the good foundation surely for later period's design.In this paper, the teaching actuality and the shortage of the basic course of industrial design are analyzed first, and then the tentative plan of applying the Chinese painting and calligraphy art to the teaching is put forward that we expound it from the reasons and meaning of application. During the basic course teaching of industrial design specialty, we should induct students to handle the elements of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, such as, form, material, style and method and so on skillfully while guiding students in learning painting techniques and design constitution idea, and train students to understand the traditional painting art in the deep level, so that making the design work of students reflect a spirit of profound national culture. Unifying the modern design education idea and the traditional succinct culture, expressing Chinese traditional art culture by the modern internationalization language, integrating the traditional culture spirit into modern design education, enabling China's traditional culture art to extend and develop in the modern design, will make China's modern art design have the national characteristic and the international characteristic surely.
