The river is a living. With the advanced developing and utilizing of the river, the economic benefits of irrigating, water supplying, power generating and flood preventing have been brought. However, natural flood is disappearing, but the reservoirs are filling up, riverbeds are rising, rivers are setting off....,These phenomena are even worse for the sandy river.This paper presents one-dimensional numerical model of the reservoir on sediment-laden river by summarizing the advantages and shortcomings of the existing sediment mathematical model in view of the river's characteristics. Considering various forms of natural river's cross-sections, there are many difficulties to be overcome to calculate by using original cross-sections.so, original cross-sections are generalized. In sediment calculation, this paper offers sediment calculation equations of every sediment groups so as to considering the inter-impact of different sediment groups. Several key issues in the sediment calculation were discussed and proposed the reasonable solutions. Scouring and filling thickness of every sediment groups is obtained by solving the sediment continuity and river bed deformation equations for every grain size group. Because of the unsteady flow is processed as steady flow.So,this model can adapt to compution of long-distance and long periods of natural river and reservoir's flood elevation and river bed deformation.The model has been compiled by computer program and has been tested by the measured dates of C1~#~B~# rubber dam of the reservoirs in Chan-Ba ecological district from july in 1955 to july in 1975.The computed filling volume and water lever of 1% are consistent well with the measured ones, and can meet the actual requirements. The model is used for computing the siltation patterns,siltation site and flood level of the scouring and filling balance of the reservoirs in Chan-Ba ecological district at different application manners.Finally,the using way of the rubber dams in Chan-Ba ecological district are determined.
