In electric power system, electric power transformer is one of the most important apparatus in electric power transmission. For the economical transmission of electric energy, flexible distributing and using safe plays a significant role. Thermal design of large-sized transformer has long made certain the average temperature rise of the transformer's components. The expressions for estimation of hotspot temperature rise basically get in experience. It can be proved that the larger of the capacity of transformer, the bigger of the corresponding ratio of leakage magnetic to primary magnetic, and the exaggeration of loss is likely to produce the superheating problem of the coil. When the temperature of the coil reaches one grade, it must be overstep the limit value of temperature rise which provided for by the state. Moreover the limit value of temperature rise is on the basis of the useful life of transformer.This thesis analyzed the loss which aroused by the leakage magnetic field of transformer, and then confirm the inside heat source in the configuration of transformer (vertical brace, oil box). Analyzing the process of the transformer's configuration, material to make certain the boundary condition and the parameter needed. Write a procedure which compute the temperature rise of the transformer's configuration (include using Fortran to carry out the computation of principal part, using VB to carry out the input and output of the procedure and the save of the result). Using Fluent can validate the validity of the computation which the procedure computes. The main method is to given the same parameter, boundary condition, operating condition to vertical brace and oil box, then using Fluent and the procedure to compute the same transformer's configuration separately. Analyze and validate the procedure from the result. Using the procedure which computes the temperature rise of the transformer's configuration computes the space temperature field of the vertical brace and oil box from changing the dimension and the boundary condition, and analyzes the infection about its configuration to its temperature field. It should guide the design of the transformer's vertical brace and oil box.
