As the increase of the power consumption, power supply quality becomes the focus that people pay close attention to day by day. The rapid development of native economy put forward a higher request of electrical quality and economical running target. As the reconstruction of distribution system goes on, the reliability of the 10kV net has been improved greatly. But the complexity of the 10kV net is more than ever before. So, in order to enhance the control of the net and realize the real digital net, the research of The construction of distribution automation system become very important.Firstly,this paper introduce the applications of distribution automation which have been implemented in the world, it hold the status quo of distribution automation and give the development direction of distribution automation in our country. Secondly, Anglicizing the grid structure of distribution automation of Chaoyang Xinghuo and the status quo of communications, some own views is put forward with the actual conditions. Finally, , this paper will give several programs with different characteristics from in-depth study of distribution automation systems, and ultimately getting the best program which are most suitable for the Chaoyang Xinghuo. The research in this paper can effectively guide the implementation of distribution network automation, which is with great significance to the raising of the power capacity and reliability of distribution network.
