Horizontal axis wind turbine and vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) are two basic forms of wind turbine. Traditional VAWT has not been largely applied due to start difficultly and low coefficient of performance, this paper tried to develop variable pitch VAWT , which had enhanced torque and coefficient of performance. This paper analysed the pneumatic principle of VAWT, and processed function design of the new wind turbine; Based on the research of variable pitch-way, it processed a kind of concrete variable pitch impeller's conceptual design, established simulation model and made movement simulation analysis, and proved that the design plan was viable; This paper determined the setting-up method of reference frame and the analysis of load. Based on the analysis of load, it determined the overall structural design of wind turbine's impeller. This paper established the base for further development of new wind turbine with low-cost and high-efficiency. |
