Rural Dream And Architects Engaged In Rural Building

Chinese country is experiencing urbanization and globalization right now. Rural- modernize happened to never stop as it influences the development of the whole society .While the globalization causes rapidly development of developing area, it makes the world the same scene as a negative side. What Chinese country is looking for is the real status and position in this situation. Meanwhile, how should the environment and buildings like to be in towns between the two force of urbanization and globalization? No exactly answer we can convince. When there is a contradiction between people' s demand for good housing conditions and deterioration of environment and resource shortage, it' s a very important problem to make sure the balance of economic development and environment, especially for a big country like China with more than 700 million people still resident in country and most of them are under poverty line. The government attempts to improve the poor' s housing condition. As we know, quality housing enhances the health and welfare and contributes immensely to his productivity, thus underscoring its importance as a fundamental need. However, if we construct our rural area all the same as the standard of city, we could hardly image that how the environment would be.Without a consummate building theory at rural area for guild, this paper focus on the architects' works building for poor in China and other foreign countries.And the purpose is getting some effective way of building for these areas through analyzing the representative architects and their works. We take Xie Yingjun, Wu Enrong(Edward Ng),Liu Jiaping and ZhouWei, Shang Deqi, Bai Wenfeng ,SunJun as Chinese examples; and take Samuel Mokebee, Nader Khalili,Hasan Fathy, Charles Correa as foreign examples. We analyze their characters, working methods and pattern, and meanwhile, contacting with our reality of Chinese country nowadays, making a conclusion what are the main problems exist and giving some suggestion for how to build for the rural area .The conclusion is analyzed from two sides, one from architectural technology, and the other from the whole society.
