Automobile mixed-model assembly line is a more-variety and less-batch JIT flexible production system. The mixed-model production is an effective mean to improve the competitiveness of automobile enterprise, and to satisfy with customers. The problem of automobile scheduling research for automobile mixed-model assembly line is a category of production logistics. The purposes of this study is attempts to model and optimize the problem of automobile scheduling by mathematical programming method, and then the scheduling scheme was inspected by computer simulation method, thus an simple and practical solution for automobile scheduling was obtained.Firstly, the thesis introduces the automobile mixed-model assembly line's research background and research status at home and abroad, discusses the automobile mixed-model assembly line's concept, system characteristics and system configuration, and then based on its operation mode explains that the automobile scheduling is important on well-balance production, In addition, the scheduling optimization of automobile mixed-model assembly line could be studied from different views, while in this thesis the aspect is that every component's utilization rate keeps constant.According to a realistic case of automobile scheduling in this thesis, firstly, the Toyota's Goal Chasing Algorithm was used to solve the automobile scheduling model, and a datum scheduling scheme was obtained. Subsequently, a mathematical programming method was proposed, which based on the principle of Toyota's Goal Chasing Algorithm. Then, the mathematical programming method was performed in Lingo and a better automobile scheduling scheme was obtained. Finally, in order to show two automobile scheduling schemes which is more well, an automobile scheduling simulation model was built on the EXTEND software.Two results showed that the mathematical programming method's result is better than Toyota's Goal Chasing Algorithm's result, because its objective value is smaller. Moreover, the Lingo software is more convenient and faster than Toyota's Goal Chasing Algorithm for solving the automobile scheduling scheme, and it's a more effective method for similar automobile scheduling problem, and its generality is more powerful. While EXTEND simulation model for automobile scheduling provides a new idea and method for the research and comparison of automobile scheduling scheme.When it comes to the conclusion, the automobile scheduling scheme was solved by mathematical programming method scheme is more feasible than that of the Toyota's Goal Chasing Algorithm. In practical Production scheduling, we only need modified the date of order, It is considered that by aiming at actual automobile scheduling modified the model, and inspect its result by run simulation model. Therefore, the research in this paper has certain theoretical and practical significances.
