Web Light-Gauge Steel Joist System,abbreviated as Web Steel,is small cold-steel truss structure.Over the past 20 years,Web Steel System has been widely used in Canada and North America and other regions.With the exception of the low-rise residential,buildings less than 4 storeys,it also finds application in multi-storey ones.In order to adapt to China's national conditions and the level of economic development,the application of web steel structure has been extended from the low-rise housing to multi-storey housing.The promotion of light steel structure in China's development and application,gives rise to a series of testing research and theoretical analysis including the Web steel truss beam,truss columns,walls and joints in the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering,Wuhan University of Technology.In this paper,based on the in-depth analysis of the test data in the past and the extensive literature available,by meanings of finite element analysis software ABAQUS model,the nonlinear finite element analysis of the anti-side performance of Web Steel Walls,as well as the research of material properties of skin,skin thickness, circumstances of cable-stayed set,the pillars of the wall space and other factors,that type of wall-side performance impact.The over-all research has been accomplished, main conclusions are as follows:1.In a series of basic assumptions under the premise of the establishment of pilot combination wall finite element model,we compared finite element analysis with test data,and verification of the paper used by the finite element modeling and analysis of the accuracy and feasibility.2.The Zhujiaoban used as skin-side wall its bearing capacity is higher than the use of OSB board and plaster board walls.The contribution of plaster board composition used as the skin side of the wall of the contribution is much smaller than that of Zhujiaoban and OSB board.3.With the increase in skin thickness,the anti-lateral wall bearing capacity of the wall has increased.When the skin thickness goes to a certain extent,further increase of skin thickness on the side of the wall tends to give no obvious change to the carrying capacity.4.With the cable-stayed widened or thickened,the anti-lateral bearing capacity of the wall will be improved,but the increase was not obvious.5.With the space between pillars shortened,the wall-side capacity of the wall will be increased significantly.The shortened the distance between wall-pillars and the solid the connection between the pillars and the wall,the better contributed force against the skin.The stronger the restraining force of skin acting to pillars,the better performance of the wall in whole and the more even the wall deformation will be.
