As high speed mini centrifugal pump is more frequently used in high technique areas, The requirements on its efficiency and reliability is much higher nowadays. But most of the research focus on bigger pumps, and traditional design methods can hardly achieve good outcome in designing mini pumps.The thesis based on a model pump, Firstly a test system for mini pumps which can print its outer characteristic curve is designed. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technology software Fluent is used in simulation of the model pump to validate the test result, Two different turbulence models standard K- . model and S-A model is used in the stimulation. After evaluation the S-A model is considered more suitable for the simulation of mini pump, Its gap between experiment and simulation is below 10%.Steady numerical simulation is used to analyze the performance of mini centrifugal pump through changes of key structure Parameters. The following sequences are used in analysis: Define the key structure Parameters, Change the key structure Parameters and build new models, Simulation on the new models, ComParison and analysis. The defined key structure Parameters are Outlet angel of impeller, Axial tip clearance, Diameter of round chamber and shape of delivery pipe, Style and axial shape of impeller. Some methods which can efficiently improve the hydraulic performance of mini pump are concluded. The internal flow field is analyzed to explain the reason.Unsteady numerical simulation is used on original model and new model under different flowrate. The variation curve of internal pressure and axial force is obtained. The formula of period time and relationship between fluctuation and rotor-stator effect. Methods to minish the amplitude are concluded.The Research is significative in imsproving the design method, outer performance and reliability of high speed mini centrifugal pump, and construct basis for optimization design of high reliability high speed mini centrifugal pump.
