City's living-style street is now meeting challenges with the science and technology's innovation and the transform of the traffic. The living-style street is on the edge of disappear and substituted by highway. We should recall the old living-style streets and highlinght the steet lifestyle by weighing the bypast flourishing scene of the street and the sleepy road.We made a clear definition of urban living-style street sepearately and tell the difference of the road and the street. Furthermore, we made our research in the domain of urban design.We have spreaded out all the streets'problems such as the width of the street, the color, the identifiability and the negative influence of the high scraper by discussion and investigation. Moreover, some problems like the competition between walking and car and advertisements have also aroused our attention.The difference of living habit and regime, different location and geography situation are one profound reason of all the deficiencies. Meanwhile, we can't ignore the effect of the new technology introduction. Aiming at creating a holistic, readable, permeable and scence of belonging living-style street, we determined to distribute our effort into two aspects as follows:Emphasizing public participation and multi-subject coorperation is for long term step. As for the urban design method, we should concentrate on using multi-interface, making vivid myth of the street and creating unique street personality.
