According to the functions of series capacitor protection,design feasible testing programs to validate the dependability of series capacitor protection.According to particularity of the MOV protection, design a testing method: To less sampling points and quicker action high-current protection, formulate a scheme to optimize simulating wave and change the style of output, improving the accuracy of MOV high-current protection testing to satisfy the request of test; To reflecting to energy accumulating MOV temperature protection, formulate an algorithm to reflect energy of MOV. Combine V-A characteristic curve with MOV action condition and use simulating current instead of temperature to evaluate the MOV acts correctly or not, for satisfying the request of protection's action in set time. Then calculate theoretical temperature automatically for evaluation as evidence.In order to convenience customers, compile auto-test software to form intergrated test means corresponding to functions of series capacitor protection.And complete the testing of series capacitor protection, filling up the internal blank in series capacitor protection test area. Improve the reliability of series capacitor under running.
