Sliding bearing test stand is mainly used to test the oil-film pressure curves and oil-film support abilities. The existent teaching bearing test stands are mainly used to test the factors: width-diameter ratio, journal load, axis speed and lubricant viscosity, which influence the oil-film pressure curves. While there is still one factor function: the drainage groove styles, which they run short of. In order to improve students' abilities both in bearing design and creation, we need to simulate the mechanism about how the groove styles influence the oil-film pressure curves and bearing support abilities. The paper hammers at the search for the model of oil-film pressure distribution under different drainage grooves.This paper mainly made use of Matlab to figure out the Reynolds differential equation for hydrodynamic lubrication journal sliding bearing with several kinds of drainage grooves .Finally the paper calculated the oil-film pressure curves of different drainage grooves, and compared the results between simulation and practical application in groove styles, depths and positions. And the author identified them to be the same. The paper also calculated the support abilities of bearings with different groove styles.The paper brought forward a scheme in replacing bearing bushes, and designed several bearings with different drainage grooves. And the author changed the number of test on bearings in need of the simulation. Also, the author designed a test system in order to adapt the test need.The paper designed a simulation system basing on drainage grooves with VB language and that can be used to teaching simulation lab. This can grow bearing performances on students and improve students' sliding bearing design abilities.
