The stone arch bridge is the outcome of history development, it go to occupy an important position in the ancient times and the near modern arch bridge household because of its beautiful shape, convenience getting material, simple building, long times'using etc.Empty arch bridge is the arch bridge that uses sign pillar to prop up between the main arch and main beam, and has inner-arch on the main arch. Its advantages are that it is lighter than the solid arch bridge, and more economical material, and more beautiful shape, and can reduce the impact of water to the bridge body. At present the technique and the shape have come to a very high level. Up to now, our country has already set up or is set up a lot of empty arch bridges.Along with the modern science technical development, people are continuously set up bigger and more large-scale bridges. All everything requests an engineer can predict a mechanics function of bridge structure exactable at the design stage, and analysis the stable and motive characteristics of the structure. In recent years, the finite element method developed under the computer technique and calculation method, for work out these complicated calculation problem of the engineering analysis's to provide valid path.Based on four different finite element models, the author studies the mechanic behavior of the foundation rigidity, effect of the connected arch and of the upper structure for the commonly used multi-span empty arch bridge with the finite element analysis software ANSYS,Some beneficial conclusions are achieved, which are helpful to the structural analysis, strengthening and design of such kind of bridge.
