Magnetic fluid is a kind of new type functional material with some particular properties. With the development of society and science and technology, its application scope will become wider and wider. Up to now, it has been applied in sealing, lubrication, bearings and so on. Although the application in sealing gas is quite successful. There are several key problems to be done to improve the sealing property.This paper is done on the base of these problems:(1) A kind of magnetic fluid sealing piece used on single-crystal-silicon stove is designed and its sealing property is calculated using the principle of magnetic circuit.(2) How dose the magnetic field of the magnet made up of fan-shaped magnets distribute? What is the magnetic induction intensity in the sealing gap? What is the correlativity between the gap of magnet made up of fan-shaped magnets and the sealing property?(3) The reason why magnetic fluid distributes nonuniform in sealing gap is analyzed accorging to the experimental results and these questions on how to inspect the distribution of magnetic fluid in sealing gap are brought forward.(4) In order to get exact experimental data, the primary experimental rig is improved and another tentative plan to improve the experimental rig is presented.(5) In order to research the relationship between the gap of magnet made up of fan-shaped magnets and the sealing property, a kind of experimental equipment is designed.The magnetic induction intensity in the gap of magnet made up of fan-shaped magnets,in the sealing gap and on the surface of pole piece are measured.
