This paper illuminates the scheme of Inmarsat SES satellite tracing system and the sensor unit of it, completes the sensor unit of antenna stabilization system, builds the foundation of the antenna tracing system. This sensor project can be used in many kinds of stabilization platform.Satellite antenna tracing system is combination of inertial navigation technology, micro-inertial sensor technology, data collection technology, data processing technology and motor serving control technology. This system locates and traces a satellite, and isolates the motion of the carrier of antenna, ensures the communication between SES and satellite. In this project, the antenna control unite use the maximum signal detection and the information from GPS to location the satellite, then continue to find the maximum signal with diamond scan, isolate the motion of carrier with motion sensors. This paper takes the advantage of schemes used before, bypasses the development of digital compass. With the combination of gyroscope and diamond scan, this scheme ensures the speed of tracing, lower the dependence of precision of gyroscope, and shorten the locating time.This paper illuminates the satellite locating and tracing scheme, then applies the hardware and software of sensor unite. With the compensation software and motor control unite, the sensor unit can isolate the motion of carrier and complete the locating motion.
