Research On Safe Stowing And Securing Of Vehicle On Board Ro-ro Passenger Ships Between Weihai And Dalian

The present study introduces ro-ro passenger ships, its development in home and abroad as well as its safety transportation specifications. From both the qualitative and quantitative study point of view, it discusses the necessity and urgency of researching on the problem of vehicle safe stowing and securing. By using the prevalent research method and basing on a specific ship on a specific route, the present study tries to carry out a systematic demonstration of the safe stowing of ro-ro passenger ships, establishes the specifications for each specific element including the ship-borne equipment, vehicle kinds, stowing,vehicle loading ,transportation and unloading to ensure the safe navigation.It considered that navigational area influence safe transportation of ro-ro passenger ships ,the presents the hydrographical and meteorological conditions of Bohai Gulf in different seasons,it analyzes the hydrographical and meteorological factor influencing safe transportation of ro-ro passenger ships.For securing vehicle,the present thesis elaborates on the vehicle securing theories and proposes the vehicle securing plan, securing methods and operational procedures for a specific ship, present three kinds of evaluating and calculating methods to appraise the securing effect of the system, as well as compiles a "V Securing Calculation Form" based on advanced calculating methods andalternative calculating methods to standardize the calculation process and realize the calculation convindence.It establishes mathmatics model of securing theories, and by applying the JSP web programming technique, the "Vehicle Securing Calculating System" has been developed. Through the user-friendly interface, the related data can be input, and the automatic calculation of vehicles' safe securing is accomplished. It is also possible to realize the long-distance automatic calculation.The specifications, securing calculations as well as the securing calculation system established by the present study are easy to operate and offer scientific reference improving in safety management of ro-ro passenger ships. It possesses a practical value and has a fair market development prospect.
