Based on the deformation monitoring characteristic of the deep excavation, this paper, linking to some project reality, through many kinds of surveying technology, realizes monitoring the excavation deformation. Through studying total station measurement system, I have developed the transportable automatic polar coordinate airborne survey program, and tested the total station's survey precision combined with standard prism in polar coordinator under the automatic survey pattern. It illuminates the principle of in-depth inclinometer and pressure gauge, and analyses the factor which affect the inclinometer precision, and proposes method to reduce measure error. In the data processing aspect, it has detected gross error to surveying data, and uses wavelet transformation to separate the noise from signal data, and finally uses ANN to forecast the deformation quantity. It also has analyzed the factor which affect network's precision, and has proposed the method to enhance forecast precision. In practice, it put forward the monitoring scheme of a project, and achieved automatic monitoring in non-fixed point, which short the project time and increase the precision. Meanwhile according to some question of monitoring, it analyzes the reason why the deformation occurs, and proposes some measures to control the deformation. All these works provide the reliable security for this pit; also accumulate experience for deep and big excavation project in the future.
