Construction is a systems engineering with multi-work, multi-working procedure, overhead crossing and busywork in series. There are so many unsafe factors during construction procedure due to these traits as before. If these are not kept away, there will be prone to accident so that will be harm to people and be great loss to national property. Aiming at some problems of construction safety assessment methods, such as bad cooperation, not scientific of general judgment, not comprehensive or exact of the index contents and so on, considering the wide meaning, complex, high chiasma and faintness of construction field safety assessment index and the complexity of the assessment system itself. This paper mainly studies on safety assessment index system and safety assessment method of construction field.The paper has seven chapters altogether. Chapter one analyze status of construction safety and management, status of research construction safety assessment and rationality of construction safety assessment in China and abroad. Chapter two describes the four basic procedures and the seven branch Engineering of construction, and analyze about cause of falling from high places, attacking by falling objects, injury by machinery and electric shocking, and obtains the reasons of construction field: human beings, materials, management and environment. Chapter three introduces the characteristics and the categories of accidents causing injuries and deaths of construction in detail, and obtains four rule layers, two layers and eighteen evaluation indexes of construction field. Chapter four studies the safety integration assessment method of construction field, confirms index weight of the safety assessment factors,establishes fuzzy comprehensive assessment model of construction field. Chapter five combines the actual example of construction field, analyses the comprehensive fuzzy assessment of construction field operation process, and confirms the safety grade of the system. Chapter six puts forward the safety countermeasures. Chapter seven summarizes the main conclusion in this paper, prospect of the related research in the task are stated.Aiming at the safety accident characteristics of construction field operation process which probably occurred, and on the base of safe system engineering, safe management engineering, safe assessment, AHP and fuzzy comprehensive method, This paper study on the comprehensive assessment method of construction field from the viewpoint of human beings, materials, and environment. This study is a new exploration ,and establishes the theory basis for the safety integration assessment method of construction field operation process.
