Because the tunneling is one kind of underground thin structure, its project characteristic had decided that the super-long tunnel construction period for a project will be able generally quite long, because it is impossible by increasing blindly the resources to reduce the construction period for a project. Therefore super-long tunnel often become a key-point project for a line. Its construction speed decide the entire project total time limit mostly, not only affecting construction's economical effect, even possibly finally directly affecting project investment repayment for the owner. Therefore, it become an important problem for the tunnel colleagues that how to achieve the quick construction.East Qinling Railway Tunnel is the Xi'an Nanjing railroad Xi'an to Hefei section key-control engineering, 12268m in length, designed for the double-line electric railway, through the large-scale machinery equipment assistanting construction according to New-Australia method. The construction organization plan has highlighted the principle of "systemic management, dynamic control", absorbs much construction experience from our country in the tunnel construction area, through a series of technical study, overcame many constructions difficulties, for example, the counter- slope construction, rich ground water, the geology break-up, and so on, summarized a set of effective construction technology system method.According to the geological status, timely adjusted the construction organization plan, make certain guiding thought, through scientific construction, reached the entire project rapid construction.The achievement wins the second-prize of science and technology advancement of China Railway Engineering Group, wins the third-prize of science and technology advancement of China Railway Academic. The high-speed has created the Chinese enterprise new record. The compositive construction technology has strong practicability and guidance.The paper systematically analyzed and summarized the East Qinling Railway Tunnel construction process and the key technology. The tunnel rapid construction mode is discussed. Some experiences in construction is accumulated by the author practicing by himself. The geology condition in import section of East Qinling Railway Tunnel is not good, groundwater rich, the counter- slope construction in most regions, construction period is limited. In 2001 year, construction speed exceeded the double-3000m record both main tunnel and assistant tunnel, which is the most quick in China before, even in whole world. It is awarded the National Enterprise record by the China Association of Enterprise.All in one word, the key technology include: firstly, has applyed the new construction pattern, has fully exerted the parallel guiding tunnel advantage, has enormously exerted the resources superiority, improved construction efficiency and construction speed greatly. Secondly, through carryed out the technical study in the key points and section, has solved many difficult problems, provided safeguard for construction successfully. Finally, by applying the new management methods, measures and the scientific management, under the specific environment, combined the human, machine and substance with an organic system, gained high effective revolution system finally.The practice indicated that, the parallel guiding tunnel has the extremely positive significance as accessorial tunnel of the super-long tunnel construction, so long as scientific organization, reasonable arrangement, make fully use of the parallel guiding tunnel convenient condition, may both resolve the ventilate difficult problem, and open the multi-working face, achieves the super-long tunnel constructed by the multi-working face, enormously improves the construction speed.The successful practice of East Qinling Railway Tunnel will certainly contribute precious experience to super-long tunnel explosive drilling construction.
