And the Active Electro-optical Type Current Transformers have been the head tide because they have the greater dynamic bound,higher testing accuracy,wider frequency answering bound,smaller cubage,lighter weight,more saving room, better anti-jamming,higher security and more simple configuration. Those virtues are conformance to the developmental request of the electric power system's testing,controlling and protecting which are towards to the digital , micromation and intelligentizing direction.Firstly, this paper introduces the current transformer's concept and the developmental situation simply. Secondly, stressing the research actuality and the developmental situation of the electro-optical type current transformers. Thirdly, discussing the design principle of the electro-optical type current transformers. Finally, presenting the particular design method.This paper brings forward the project that is the TA's online gathering voltage for driving the batteries supervised circuit and the Li-Ion supplying power by comparing the virtues and the flaws. This project colligates the virtues of the small current transformer's power supply and the batteries. We use the Rogowski coil as the transformer head according to the Faraday theory. This method advances the testing accuracy and settles the facile-saturated flaw about the traditional current transformers radically. Sending circuit uses the optical fiber to transmit, which has the high transmitted rate, low mistake code rate, good insulated capability and no danger. FPGA offers the timing for the D/A conversion and corresponds to the timing between the D/A conversion and the A/D conversion at the high voltage side which ensures the date transmitting truly.
