Research On High-altitude Falling And Architectural Falling-free Measures In Urban Residential Environment

High-altitude Falling is a typical urban fault.With an Urban-expansion and building-growth to sky,the problem becomes more serious.Recently,the Public Safety caused by High-altitude Falling has drawn increasing attentions of medias and the government,and voices for improving on the safety performance of residential environment are increasingly growing louder. Nevertheless,the fault is holistic in non-falling design on architectural environment,and there obviously exists a gap.This paper firstly investigated the High-altitude Falling in the nation,then discovered the motives of falling behaviors,and researched the design strategy against falling, finally,raised the architectural Design Guidelines,for the purpose to provide the basis,which can improve the safety performance on falling in residential environment,for the design and management.This paper systematically,comprehensively and studied in depth the High-altitude Falling problems of residential environment in the following three parts;The first part,including the first and the second chapters of the paper,mainly about the researches,by the methods of "accident analysis" and "traces study",on status and characteristics of High-altitude Falling,and the relative affecting factors in urban residential environment.The second part,including the third and the fourth chapters,mainly about the researches,by the methods of "trace study" and "theoretical relationship between environmental and behavior", on the falling behaviors and the relative products,and investigating on the mechanism of High-altitude Falling from two aspects—behavior and space & environment,then educed the theoretic and quantitative basis for architectural design.The third part,including the fifth,the sixth and the seventh chapters,mainly about the architectural-design strategies and measures against High-altitude Falling by "Behavior intervention theories" and "Architectural Design Method",and the Architectural Design Guidelines against High-altitude Falling in urban residential environment.
