| Horomill is the key equipment in building materials industry, whose operation determines directly the grinding materials (cement, slag) processing quality and efficiency. The merits of the roll mill and grinding mill that need not too high pressure, have been combined to smash material through the completion of several extrusion grinding process to increase efficiency and save energy.Lying on a Horomill in operation process, its internal components due to mechanical stress, thermal stress and vibration, and other physical effects, with the passage of time, this will allow the accumulation of physical role of the technical equipment running constant state of change, then all the possible anomaly, fault or state changes, Along with these changes in the role and, inevitably a corresponding vibration, noise, temperature, as well as increased wear, and broken cut, and other secondary effects, based on these secondary effects of changes in the physical parameters of the analysis, we can quantitatively grasp mill operation process of the breakdown of the type and extent of degradation.Based on the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technique, the project 'Horomill smelting slag grinding system' is carried out. In this project, the following research works have been launched:(1) The common fault type, the sign and administration measures are summarized through collecting literatures and consulting the experts. The parameter and position of monitoring are confirmed. The frame of the system that announces the relations between fault and symptom is set up on survey.(2) On the basis of investigation and research, the monitoring parameters and measuring points have been identified with the respect to the characteristics of Horomill. Moreover, the criteria of monitoring parameters has been analyzed. Selecting sensors and establishing the Horomill condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system.(3) After giving a general introduction on fault diagnosis approaches, utilize the improved fuzzy approach to this system to establish a fuzzy fault model based on the dynamic data of the equipment identified.(4) Horomill on the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system development and the function of the system and structure were introduced.
