In the thesis, suspended looping coaster's virtual prototype is built up with ADAMS. By simulating and computing, the parameters and dynamic characteristic of the system are evaluated to provide foundation for the design and manufacture of physical prototype.First, geometry models of coaster's key parts are built up with CAXA, and spline tool of AutoCAD is used to build rail model. Then these models are introduced to ADAMS to be exerted with forces and constraints. Correspondingly virtual prototype of coaster is built up. Through simulations, a set of proper parameters such as flexible block stiffness, damping on both sides of chair, friction coefficient, and parameters related to windage resistance are found out.The simulation result of velocity and acceleration is agreed with the test data in general, which verified that the virtual prototype model is correct. Through analysis of acceleration of vehicle and force on connectors, rules that the maximum accelerations of ten cars are increasing; forces on ten connectors are increasing or decreasing regularly from middle to both sides are obtained.Through analyzing and comparing the dynamic characteristic of the coaster model and forces on the key parts on common and uncommon occasions (damping failure, unbalance load, friction coefficient unstable, windage resistance unstable and so on), friction and windage resistance have greater influence on velocity of vehicle ,while other occasions have less influence.Finally, the accelerations of the vehicle in x, y, z direction are evaluated according to the rides' acceleration standards of EN and America. it's reasonable according to EN standard, but unreasonable according to American standard in lowest point of the ring.
