The study of flight simulator is helpful in raising pilots' training level and efficiency. It can also reduce the cost of pilots' training. Each kind of meter systems in simulator is important for pilot simulating the actual flight. To enhance the precise degree of simulation meter, the driving device with good performance need to be designed. This paper states the design and realization of path compass electromotion system mainly, and the work of this paper divides into four parts:In the first part, the performance index of fight simulator path compass electromotion system is analyzed, and the overall plan of system is argued. The DC motor is chosen to be the executing device system, and the new type of absolute position transducer is combined to carry on the position examination. The DSP with good performance which faces the motor control is adopt to be the core controller, and the implementation plan with high efficiency is given.In the second part, According to the overall design plan of electromotion system, the main function and structure of DSP facing motor control is introduced in detail. The design of position and current detective hardware circuit is finished. The principle of interpolation-angle measuring is given, and the design of hardware drive circuit and assistant electrical source is done.In the third part, based on the mathematic model of path compass system and the analysis of performance index for electromotion system, the control structure of position-current-dual-closed loop is designed. To realize fast and stable tacking control, the optimized variable structure control is adopted in the position control. The software design, and its structure and flow of DSP are designed.In the fourth part, the debugging of system hardware and software is done. The simulation and experiment results of current loop and position control loop of path compass electromotion system based on DSP control are given. The debugging results through installation and joint debugging are also given.The experiment results of current loop show the current control response is fast. Compared with the controller designed through LQR method, the simulation and experiment results of the variable structure controller has stronger robust performance, and it can satisfy the request of quick positioning. Choosing the method of improved sliding surface can use the system source fully. It can realize the positioning function with no overshoot in shorter time. The joint debugging results show the path compass system has higher precision, the pointer of dial indicates exactly, and the servo performance is good, no jumpiness in low speed and no dithering in high speed, noise is low, it can satisfy pilots' visual request.
