Because of its high intensity, durability and low maintenance expense, cement concrete pavements, which could meet the demand of over loading, busy and fast modern traffic, have been using widely. With the development of economic construction, our country has increased investments in building basic road greatly. Except for the main stem and national highway, there are many roads to be built, which implies new chances and challenges in road construction. However, the development and application of pavements are restricted by more requirements of modern pavements and joints in traditional cement concrete pavements. Doing researching on new kind of concrete pavements structures, therefore, not only meets the rising needs of theory and methods on designing national concrete pavements, but also has great importance in assuring local pavements'safety, reliability, economy, quality and mostly using funds, decreasing maintenance expense and improving the services of pavements.Based on lots of literature and information, this paper has engaged in deep studies and brought forth a new kind of matchboard cement concrete pavement.Firstly, based on the theory of elastic thin slab and elastic subgrade, this paper has discussed the strong points and weaknesses of existed mechanics models of cement concrete pavements. Then, integrating each model's strengths and considering the practical conditions, this paper has put forward reasonable simulating models as well as basic mechanics hypothesis.Secondly, based on general FEM theory, this paper has discussed FEM of matchboard cement concrete pavements with and without joints and explained three-dimensional FEM of cement concrete pavements. After comparing several pavement structural models, this paper has chosen three-dimensional model of higher precision as analysis model with permission of experimental conditions.Thirdly, with FEM analysis software ANSYS, this paper has fulfilled appropriate pavement FEM models. Selecting right loading locations and parameters, this paper has simulated contact behaviors of limited dimension cement concrete pavement with joints afterwards. The mechanics response results and load transfer ability results of matchboard joints have obtained and the effect of reinforcing steel bars has gained too. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the method has been verified by comparing with theoretic and experimental conclusions.Finally, the main parameters which affect the mechanics performance of the cement concrete pavement have been analyzed and issues should be paid attention to in practice have put forward, which provide a reference for further study of cement concrete pavement structures.
