| As a portion of a West Transportation Technological Project of Ministry of Communications, "Systematic Manufacture Standard of Construction Equipment and Road Materials" , this thesis reviews the conclusions of research on climatic zoning for highway at home and abroad; analyzes the effect of natural conditions on highway subgrade, the causality of natural conditions and the deformation and failure of subgrade, and the effect of natural environment on pavement; investigates the physical geographical conditions, including geology, land feature, climate, hydrology and soil, of Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi in Southwest China; and synoptically explains the general situation of highway transportation in those five areas.Based on the development history, partition principles and index analysis of climatic zoning for highway in China, the author studies the dominant factors and signs of the third class climatic zoning of the five areas in Southwest China. Due to the regional physical geological characteristics, such as complex natural environment and distinct region difference in Southwest China, the author advances that when partitioning the physical region of Southwest China, land feature, a non-regional factor, is primary in selecting partition index, and the regional factors should also be considered. Therefore, it can be reflected properly that the truth of the highway physical regional difference in Southwest China.Based on the first and second class climatic zoning, the author regards land feature as the leading index in the third class climatic zoning, and thinks of climate (precipitation and air temperature), hydrology, soil and lithologic characters as assistant index. Meanwhile, because of the different application in different area, the third class climatic zoning doesn't get across the circumscription of each area. The thesis puts forward a scheme of the third class climatic zoning for highway in Southwest China, synoptically analyzes their characteristics and index and the effect of natural conditions on highway projects in these areas. In addition, aiming at the application of the third climatic zoning in highway projects, the author advances ideas for the design, construction and maintenance of highway projects in Southwest China. |
