The system of suspension bridge and cable-stayed bridge face the difficulties to develop larger span not only because of the restrictions of their mechanics characteristics, also the high price usually makes pepople stepping back. Combined cable-stayed and suspension bridge (C.C.S.B) is used as a new structure system that can stride over larger span.Due to adopting the methods of "turning integration into parts, then gathering parts into integration", which makes design and construction more easily. Along with people to the investigatation of C.C.S.B construction system and mechanics characteristics thoroughly, more and more experts have started knowing the economic superiority of CCSB.In larger spans, especially super large spans, can CCSB occupy the main position of suspension bridge with the mechanics characteristics and the economic superiority?This paper, firstly, analyzs the minimum ration that suspension span's occupation of C.C.S.B in theory.Comparies the crossing efficiency of suspension system,cable-stayed system and C.C.S.B system.Secondly, analyzs the mechanics and the ecnomic performances of CCSB with different rations. Then takes Qing dao gulf bridge as an example, comparies and analyzes the economic performance and mechanics characteristics, also analyzs the economic performance of different spans.Finally, compares with the construction craft and construction work periods, analyzs the construction economic performance.
