Saving energy and reducing loss is an important measure relative to China that can develop herself continuously in 21st century. Power plant use up 1/4 of total output of coal in our country, but average coal consuming rate is nearly 410g/(kW·h), 80g/(kW·h) more than developed countrie's. So power plant owns a large potential in saving energy. According to that reason, we can take two measures to reduce average coal consuming rate, constructing highly-efficiency and big capacity unit, or reconstructing old unit. These measures will lead to good economic benefit and good social benefit. This paper argues the reason of reconstructing #2 generator in FengZhen Power Plant, put forward a measure according to real conditions, and record the data of tests including steps, instruments, places being measured and process. We can work out real benefit according to these data in term of equivalent enthalpy theory. Finally a project evaluation is given to argue feasibility of this project.
