The ride comfort and handling stability of the automobile have close relationship with the suspension system. As structure parameters of traditional passive suspension can not adaptively change with external conditions, the improvement of dynamic performance is difficult. However, structure parameters of semi-active suspension, such as damping, spring stiffness and so on, are adjustable, which can serve the needs much better.This dissertation focuses on the control system of semi-active suspension, covering the methodology study, controller design. In methodology study section, a four-degree-freedom vehicle control model of the automotive semi-active suspensions is studied with the adaptive fuzzy control for further control. First, a regulatory table of basic fuzzy control is given according to the experience data, and a basic fuzzy controller is designed, a system of basic fuzzy control is established. Second, a regulatory table of fuzzy control performance determination is added to acquire the ability of adaptive. Finally, the fuzzy controller is applied to the controller of semi-active suspension.The controller of semi-active suspension is an integrated system with software and hardware, whose core is DSP and FPGA. The task of DSP is to control the damp according to the need of the suspension in time, the FPGA control the logic of decoder and the keys.
