| RC shear wall with bi-directional single row of steel bars apply to the multi-storey residential structure. The current structure of RC shear walls are mainly used for high-rise structure, and the shear wall design method which is set forth in"Design of Concrete Structure","Technical Specification for Concrete Structures of Tall Building"and"Seismic Design of Buildings", based mainly on high-rise structures and RC shear wall with bi-directional double rows of steel bars. How to use more economical and reasonable way of wall thickness and reinforcement in multi-storey residential structure of RC shear walls is currently in urgent need to resolve the issue in project, and it's still lacks a systematic study. This paper presents a kind of RC shear wall with bi-directional single row of steel bars applicable to multi-storey residential structure, furthermore, a pilot research and theoretical analysis were carried out.Main contribution of this paper:1. It was first time to do experimental study on RC shear wall with bi-directional single row of steel bars joint and RC shear wall with opening and bi-directional single row of steel bars. Experimental specimens include 10 RC shear wall joints and 2 1/2 scale models of RC shear wall with opening. Based upon the experimental study, load-carrying capacity, the stiffness and its degradation, ductility, hysteretic behavior, energy dissipation and failure phenomena of each specimen with different design parameters were analyzed systematically, and the seismic mechamism of this new shear wall was revealed.2. Based upon the experimental study, the simplified mechanical model and the calculative formulas of the bearing capacity were established. Through calculating of the bearing capacity, the calculating results accorded well with the experimental results.3. Based upon the experimental study and analysis on seismic performance, suggestions for construction measures of opening and seismic design were presented.The results of study indicated that:1. Experimental study indicated that the relationship between wall sections and coupling beam and shear-span ratio of coupling beam played an important part in failure phenomena of joint and coupling beam. The shear wall joint with bi-directional single row of steel bars through rational designing was able to satisfy the requirements of seismic design for multi-story residential building. 2. RC shear wall with opening which was presented in this subject did well in ductility and seismic performance. Experimental study indicated that RC shear wall with opening and bi-directional single row of steel bars was able to satisfy the requirements of seismic design for multistory residential building.The seisimic design suggestion and related study results of shear wall with bi-directional single row of steel bars in this subject can be taken as reference for seismic design. |
