Due to the wide application of the double row RC shear wall, the current research and specification of RC shear wall are mainly concentrated in double row RC shear wall. In this paper, a new building structure system of composite and energy-saving RC shear wall for multistory residence building which adopts bi-directional single row of steel bars and exterior composite wall to meet energy requirements was studied. This type of new structure is mainly used in the high intensity multilayer residence. In this way, multistory buildings can not only meet the earthquake requirements of high intensity, but also avoid too much increased cost. Based on the experiment and finite element analysis, this paper studied the bearing capacity and the seismic energy dissipation capacity on the residential structure of multi-story L,T and Z-shear wall structure with bi-directional single row of steel bars.Main contributions are listed as follows:â‘ In order to study the capability of earthquake resistant and mechanical capability on the residential structure of multi-story L,T and Z -shear wall structure with bi-directional single row of steel bars, this paper uses two 1/2 reduced scale's L,T and Z -shear wall with bi-directional single row of steel bars models with certain enforcements ratio of RC, separately along the web plate direction and the flange direction, to test the load-carrying capacity, stiffness, degenerated process and aseismatic behavior of the two models, then analyze and evaluate the horizontal load-carrying capacity. The test results show that RC shear wall node with bi-directional single row of steel bars meet the seismic requirements.â‘¡Based on the analyzed results, using the concrete structure design specification of concrete and reinforced of the constitutive curve,we had the giant general ABAQUS software did the simulation which leaded to a good result that simulation curves are consistent with the experiments results and the analyzed reinforcement in simulation ABAQUS which generate the applicable range and shear wall defects.â‘¢Based on the analyzed results, the mechanical model and formulas of bearing capacity of the RC shear wall with bi-directional single rows of steel bars was established and the results obtained from the formulas and those from analysis were in good agreement.With reasonable design and structural measures, RC shear wall with bi-directional single row of steel bars node can satisfy the seismic requirements for multilayer residence structure. The seismic design suggestions put forward in this paper and the related experimental results can be a reference for the seismic design.
