| Earthquake is a serious natural disaster, which threaten human society's production and life. So the seismic research count for much to human lives and societal properties. Traditional anti-earthquake method base on the enhancement of structure's seismic resistance capability (bearing capacity, rigidity, ductility) to resist earthquakes, that is, by the structure itself to deposit and consume the earthquake energy. It is a passive method main to regard"anti"as principle. As society advances, the traditional anti- earthquake method can not fully meet the needs of modern people, this enables the seismic isolation method to approach the focus of attention more and more. Based on the theories and the application results at present, using combined isolation rubber bearing seems to be a mature method of seismic isolation,but there are still many problems to be solved during its application. Therefor, this paper proposes a new steel seismic isolator in order to solve some of these problems. This paper is mainly to discuss the feasibility of this new kind of seismic isolation method by theoretic analysis.This paper firstly introduces basic principle and advantages of base isolation, secondly proposes a new kind of steel seismic isolator, introduces its structure and discusses parameters selection of its component. Besides, the simulate method by ANSYS of this steel seismic isolator is proposed based on the estimate of PKPM(A kind of civil engineering design software).The finite element models are rendered to analysis the mechanical performance of the traditional anti- earthquake structure and the seismic isolation structure. And the feasibility of this new steel seismic isolator is discussed. This paper also discuss the stability problem of the new style steel seismic isolator by considering the curved deformation and shearing deformation at the same time, and carries on the theory calculation of the horizontal displacement of the isolator, which may help the further study of this new steel seismic isolator. |
