With the advent of globalization, the art of the traditional architecture have being gradually lost the localization of Meaning. Therefore, how to inherit and develop the art of traditional architecture became the focus of world attention. As one of the most common forms of construction, residents reflects the greatest nation's historical tradition, living habits, and esthetic fondness, so residents are very national regional and characteristic . Both layout and graphic composition or characteristics of detail and decoration, are mainly the result of the social system, customs and habits, lifestyle and aesthetic concept of the nation, so residents reflects the traditional spirit of china very much.Based on the analysis of Ningbo traditional houses , we can research to try to understand the feelings of the traditional architectural culture connotation, and the language used to analyze building and refining it, so as to the construction of modern art to Enlightenment, so that we can inherit our spirit of traditional architecture continually . First, building spirit is rooted in the long history of China's traditional culture, the beginning of this paper, a detailed description of the Ningbo rich local culture, on this basis , we can try to understand her unique architectural form and charm of the building. Second, in this paper, Ningbo was focused on the form of traditional houses gathered origin, evolution, and Ningbo urban areas and some suburban town of Ningbo were described. And I analyzed the traditional houses of the overall space characteristics, monomer space plane, and dealing with modeling. At the same time, I analyzed the traditional houses of architectural language, both the appearance, shape or space plane, which be demonstrated by the aesthetics of inestimable value. Finally I described the decorative arts in detail , their protection and development.In the final chapter, I discussed how to inherit the art of traditional architecture once again.
