The life of vehicles and key parts is an important problem which must be realized on the vehicles design, operation and maintenance. Since long time ago, vehicles and key parts did not carry out life management, whether be discarded as useless based on their state in our country. In this way, the value of the vehicles and key parts would be wealthy used, but it could also brought serious hidden trouble. Consequently, the development of the vehicle life management is, among the means for guarantee of the safety of railage, among the methods for guarantee of the whole technical estate of vehicle, among the primary contents for the implement of maintenance reform on vehicle.Using Visual C++ programming language develop wagon life management decision support system (HCDSS). Introducing work on four aspects as follows:At first, Using ORACLE,ACCESS database technicals and SQL lingual technical change the HMIS database into HCDSS database. The pretreatment of data can be achieved.Scondly, using the reliability theory, basing on the examine instance of bogie key parts, faults mode will be Stated, the main faults will be confirmed, and the decision support information such as the faults' reason, faults' harm and improvement method will be provided when the main faults' time rule being analyzed.Thirdly, Using mathematical statistical methods, through the analyses of the main faults of bogie key parts, the life distribute regularities, the best maintenance cycle, and operating life of key parts will be gained. At the same time, the decision makers can get many messages which are available for their decision-making.At last, an economic life model has been founded, which is based on the gray theory. The model can provide academic support on the analyses of economic life model in the future.HCDSS can achieve a scientific and effective life management og wagon and its key parts to further improve wagon maintenance system, achieve the purpose of optimizing investment and reducing the frequencies of the accidents, and continue to promote reform of wagon maintenance system, and give some assistances to the maintenance of our nation's railway wagon, prolong the life-span of the key parts and improve our management level to approach the world's advanced level.
