Jet pump is a fluid machinery and equipment which is used to transfer energy, quality and mix reaction. It is reliable, convenient for installation and maintenance, good sealing, and make for transporting toxic, explosive, flammable and radioactive medium. All kinds of energy can direct to be the work force of jet pump and don't need to add other ancillary equipment. So the jet pump has integrated high-value applications. But the structure of jet pump is rather special, it has large energy loss when the fluid mix, so that the jet pump efficiency is low, to some extent, it limits the range of jet pump use.Based on the jet pump numerical simulation and experimental research, this paper optimizes structure from the throat and the throat mouth distance. The main work and research results are as follows:1. By discussing in detail the research status and internal flow theory of jet pump, this paper points out that the major factor of restraining the further development of jet pump now.2. This paper introduces briefly the basic method and the process of numerical calculation. PRO/E software is applied to jet pump 3D modeling. GAMBIT software is adopted to divide jet pump model mesh.3. By the numerical simulation of jet pump internal flow, the paper analyses the distributing situation of pressure and velocity, it also masters the jet pump internal flow law.4. After calculating the jet pump area ratio of 8,5and 3, the paper obtains the different most optimization mixing throat length under each area ratio. Conforming these three different lengths can educe the formula of optimal throat length under area ratio 3-8.5. It also calculates the jet pump area ratio of 8,5and 3, considering four different throat mouth distance under each area ratio. By analyzing and contrasting can obtains the optimal throat mouth distance under each area ratio. Finally, conforming educes the formula of optimal throat mouth distance under area ratio 3-86. By the jet pump test of area ratio 3, using the U pressure pipe to validate the accuracy of simulation results. The performance test is validated the accuracy of calculated optimal throat mouth distance by regulating four throat mouth distance. The test results show that the conformed formula is correct.
