Interconnected grid has good economic and social benefits. If the scale of electric network is too large, how to avoid large scale blackout and collapse accidents due to the interplay of different faults is becoming more important .When relays trip a faulted line in the network, the flow on the faulted line will be transferred to the other lines. Those lines might be overloaded and then cascading tripped by the backup relays, which worsen the system state and even cause blackout. This paper use an algorithm fast searching for key transmission section based on graph theory. As a result, the works of further calculation analysis can be reduced greatly. An algorithm of identification of flow transferring and a new wide area backup protection scheme based on WAMS is presented. And fast security protection of key sections to prevent cascading tripping can be achieved accordingly. The schemes and algorithms mentioned above were proved to be correct and effective by lots of simulations in this paper. |
