The Study About Shoulder Rumble Strips Application Of Expressway In Chongqing

Along with the traffic mileage of highways annually, as a result of long highway driving ,the Run-Off-Road incidents occur more frequently, so the highway traffic safety situation is very grim. In order to reduce highway traffic accidents, the Ministry of Communications and relevant departments have carried out many reserches about clearway tiaffic safety in order to reduce accident occurrence. Rumble strips is a Traffic safely devices in Europe and the United States to prevent Run-Off-Road accidents effectively.According to Chongqing Municipal Transportation Committee technology -the study about Rumble strips in improving road safety and the application (Contract No.:70415), We investigate the distribution of Chongqing Expressway Run-Off-Road accidents, in-depth analysis the law of Run-Off-Road accidents in Chongqing Expressway, summing up foreign and domestic rumble strips in design, construction method. TO the special nature of Chongqing Expressway ROR , Proceed from calculating the vehicle model the paper works out the pavement impelling way,counts the vibration acceleration aroused by rumble strips and takes the acceleration comfortable and uncomfortable through person feeling as evaluation standard,and studies rational size of vibration strips.There are two parts in the study.First,it gives the rumble stripe type, size detail which is seasoned with Chongqing traffic characteristics and climatic characteristics. Second, it gives design programmes, as well as construction methods of rumble stripe.At last, Study results will be applied to sections of ROR frequent accidents, and evaluate the use of rumble stripe.
