According to the eleventh five-years project and the plan for middle and long period railway net, high speed railway and dedicated passenger line are be constructed in our country. Among the technology applied in these projects, ballastless track was applied widely because it can provide good track conditions, which are smooth, steady and long life time and less maintenance. Among many kind of ballastless track, slab track has matured in overseas.On the other hand, turnout is one of the weakest section for the track not only from structure but also from geometry. So, if turnout was applied with slab track, especially with viaduct slab track, the relationship among them is complex. It is important to research the design of turnout slab in high speed condition. Therefore, the design of turnout slab was analyzed in the dissertation.On the basis of compare the structure of both overseas and domestic slab track, structure geometry of turnout for high speed railway was researched. The design theory, structure and characters of turnout slab for high speed railway and dedicated passenger line were presented in order to optimize the design of turnout slab. And the design method was applied in a practical project. The main content are follows:(1) The structure of slab track applying in domestic railway. The technology characters of slab track in Qinghuangdao-Shenyang line and Chongqin-Sui line were researched. The whole design requirements for ballasteless track were presented.(2) Structure design for slab track. According with the requirements for high speed railway and characters of turnout, rational type of turnout structure and components were chose.(3) Turnout slab design. The design principle, design factors and so on for turnout slab were presented.Finally, using the design method presented from this dissertation, the turnout slab on Hongdian Bridge in Hefei-Wuhan line was design optimally.
