With the worldwide citifying course, traffic volume of every country is increasing sharply, which brings a series of problems, such as taffic jam, frequent accident, pollution of the environment. These problems restrict the development of the city, and disturb the normal life of people. Urban rail transit is one of the effective measures to solve the conflict of the city traffic. As a powerful public vehicle, metro is consequent product of the development of big city traffic. It possesses advantage of big load, fast, safe, on time, comfortable and less pollution. However, it might influence the environment and obstruct the traffic to build metro station in the busy streets. As a result, the cover-excavation method is adopted as an effective solution.Combined the project of Renmin Road station of Metro Line 2 in a city, this paper analyzed the support system of metro station built by cover-excavation method. As the loads on the temporary road system ascertained, the paper designed and analyzed the cover plate and cover plate beam, proposed calculate method of each form temporary road system. The support system is divided into two parts, the horizontal support system consisted by cover plate beam and steel support, and the vertical support system consisted by underground continuous wall and column pile, and discussed separately. Proposed the incremental calculate method of metro station built by cover-excavation, researched the support effect of the cover plate beam. This paper analyzed the effect to structure aroused by differential settlement of underground continuous wall and column pile.This paper systematically analyzed and summarized the system of metro station built by cover-excavation method, could be used for reference in similar engineering construction.
