The hidden danger of the fire accident is one of the largest threats in metro operations as it may cause great loss of people's lives and property and exert negative effects on economic development and social stability. Being the most important part in pubic security research, the prevention and reduce of fire casualties is of great significance to ensure metro operation security. Safe evacuation from metro fires, which was discussed in this article, is to evacuate all the people to safe areas in time to avoid danger.Based on the review of studies in this field at home and abroad and with the help of computer simulation technology, discussions concerning metro fire evacuation and its countermeasures were made in this article covering the following aspects.(1) Reaction and movement under metro fire. Emphasis was laid on the discussion of people's psychological behavior and movement laws in the emergency of fire.(2) Models on evacuation time. A mathematic model for calculating evacuation time was introduced based on the analysis of related factors like passenger types, fire causes and building structures.(3) Simulation of metro fire evacuation. SUBFE (Subway Fire Evacuation) software and its original model, which was built by cellular automation technique, were developed in this article, and a user-setting evacuation was simulated as a case to investigate.(4) Factors influence on evacuation. Some in-depth discussion was made on the influences of certain factors like fire behavior, stair width and exit locations. Several measures on metro fire prevention were also put forward in this article.. |
