| Due to the number of the cars'increase the security of communication is attracted more attention. The frontal impact induces the most accidents. When the frontal impact happens, bumper is the first component to protect other components of the car. So if you want to increase the security of the car, you must choose a good bumper. But what bumper is a good bumper, what bumper can protect the car and occupants? According to the research, people find that the more energy is absorbed by bumper, the safer people will be. But in our country, the bumper equipped in the car is so bad, so it can not protect the car so well. In this thesis, the author researched on one bumper which is offered by one bumper manufacturer in JiangSu. The manufacturer offered the bumper's three-dimensional model. According to the regulation of ECE R42, the thesis advanced that we can use CATIA V5, Hyper-mesh to set up the3D-model and finite element model of drummer, then carry through the simulation and calculation in LS-DYNA software.We got the conclusion of simulation that the standard can not be satisfied. So the author optimized the bumper's structure, changed the parameters of the bumper's structure to make the bumper satisfy the standard. At the same time, it has some referenced value for designing the bumper.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. It introduced the present condition and the experiment methods of the bumper's capability of impact, summarized the research method of automobile passive security, and the latest development state, also introduced the software generally used in simulation.2. The theory of the explicit nonlinear finite element which is largely adopted in the crash simulation software is introduced.3. In this research, the 3D-model of drummer was built in CATIA, and then transmitted it and the 3D-model of bumper into Hyper-mesh to form finite element model. It also defined the basic parameter.4. According to the regulation of ECE R42, we accomplished the process of simulation for the crash between drummer and bumper, gained valuable simulation curve and found the standard can not be satisfied.5. Optimized the bumper's structure, changed the parameters of the bumper's structure to make the bumper satisfy the standard. |
