The nuclear power project in our country has been developing rapidly. said that our total nuclear power would grow to 36k MW in 2020, which is equal to 4% of total electrical power. Developing our own techniques or just using foreign techniques to improve the efficiency and safety of nuclear power plant is a problem that we confront now. This paper studied the modeling and controlling of PWR nuclear power plant and developed simulation software as well. The performance of control system and protection system in NPP is important; simulation software can be used to verify the control logic and training people.In this paper, we firstly analyzed the mathematic model of first-loop and second-loop, then discussed the main control system of NPP. Secondly we developed our own simulation software based on existing software. We simulated some cases by using this software, and tried to integrate it in the advanced nuclear power main control room. This is useful to verify the control logic when there is no real nuclear reactor. The creativity work in the thesis is listed as the following aspects:1. Based on existing software, we developed our simulation software in C#, which has good real time ability,good expansibility and low maintenance cost. 2. Separated the control system from other simulation process in our software. Simulated these control systems using our own simulation software, and contrasted them by changing the control parameter. Also we proposed a method to improve the performance of control systems.3. We added an interface to simulation software, which is used to communicate with DCS. This interface will make the system integration become true.4. We tried to combine DCS and the simulation software, make them become a part of nuclear power main control room.
