They all provide a broad market demand for the DCS.This article focuses on the design and application of DCS which based on thermal power plant's FGD system to carry on research work. Firstly, combining with reality, the article elaborated the basic principle of thermal power plant's FGD system and the theory of the limestone– gypsum technology. Secondly, it systematically introduced the DCS designation's elementary theory, applicable foundation, level concept and design method.On the basis of fully understanding the DCS and the limestone - gypsum technology, the article combines the DCS designation of a power plant's FGD installment has carried on a more detailed elaboration to the system's demand analysis, network topology, structure and so on, especially to hardware designation, the control system configuration, the contact surface design, the system optimization and so on in system designation.
